The Validity and Reliability of the Turkish Version of the Attitudes to Fer-tility and Childbearing Scale (AFCS)

This study, a descriptive and methodological type of research, was conducted to evaluate the validity reliability Turkish adaptation Attitudes Fertility Childbearing Scale (AFCS), developed by Söderberg et al. (2015). The sample this study consisted 224 women who had not given birth yet were between ages 20-30. scale is Likert-type measuring instrument consisting 21 items, in three dimensions. Internal consistency analyses determine its reliability. After confirming linguistic validity, expert opinions obtained for content validity. Furthermore, Item Content Validity Index (I-CVI) (S-CVI) used assess construct performed using confirmatory factor analysis. As result analysis carried out three-factor structure found have good level model fitness indices (RMSEA=.067, SRMR=.075, CFI=.96). analysis, internal coefficient be .82 total coefficients sub-scales .93 "importance fertility future" sub-scale, .87 "childbearing as hindrance at present" .81 "social identity" sub-scale. AFCS valid reliable measurement tool that can measure childbearing attitudes fertile age.
